Founder of Jenise Piano Studio, Private Piano Instructor

Jenise Lie is a classically trained pianist and a piano teacher in Irvine, California. She studied at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music with an internationally acclaimed American pianist, Althea Waites, for her B.M. in Piano Performance. She also studied at the School of Music with a pedagogue, Allison Edwards, for her M.A. in Piano Pedagogy. Jenise has presented a lecture recital on an important topic "Effective Practice Techniques for the Intermediate to Advanced Piano Students" and performed works by Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin. She was also a student of Miranda Wu and Janice Park, the two most influential teachers and mentors in her life.

Jenise has been teaching private piano lessons for over 15 years and maintains a full studio of piano students, ages 4-year old to adults. Her students received a rigorous music education, studying repertoire from all eras of classical music, emphasizing the technique, sight reading, ear training, and theory proficiency.

Jenise is an active teacher of the Music Teachers' Association of California. She has been awarded to be a part of the National Music Honors Society, Pi Kappa Lambda, and the CSUF Beta Omega Chapter. She prepares her students for annual recital and Certificate of Merit Evaluation including repertoire, theory, sight reading, and ear training. Her students receive outstanding recognition in Certification of Merit exams, and perform in the branch honor recital and the state convention. Jenise's students have also won competitions and numerous awards.

Her students are her family and she enjoys every moment with them. She dreams to be an encouraging and yet discipline piano teacher who will make an impact in her students' musical life.
