Mrs. Jenise

Jenise is a classically trained pianist and dedicated piano instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience. As the founder of Jenise Piano Studio in Irvine, California, she is passionate about inspiring students of all ages to develop a strong technical foundation, musical artistry, and a lifelong love for piano.

Jenise earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, where she studied under internationally acclaimed pianist Althea Waites. She continued her education at the School of Music, studying with respected pedagogue Allison Edwards, and received her Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy.

Throughout her career, Jenise has guided her students to achieve outstanding results in performances, examinations, and competitions. Her students have consistently excelled in MTAC festivals and Certificate of Merit evaluations, receiving high honors and recognition for their musical growth and dedication.

Many of Jenise’s students have won awards and top placements in local, state, national, and international piano competitions. Her student has also been invited to perform at prestigious venue, Carnegie Hall in New York, showcasing artistry and accomplishments on an international stage.

Jenise’s teaching philosophy emphasizes not only technical excellence, but also creativity, confidence, discipline, and a genuine appreciation for music. She believes piano study should inspire students to discover their own musical voice while developing skills that extend beyond the piano.

To Jenise, teaching piano is more than sharing musical knowledge - it’s about shaping character, encouraging perseverance, and helping each student reach their fullest potential. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to inspire the next generation of musicians while continuing to grow alongside them.

Aside from teaching, Jenise enjoys spending quality time with her family, cherishing the moments that bring joy and balance to her life.
